Directions to Lochenbreck Loch:
From the yellow road (Laurieston right, 4 miles; Gatehouse 7 miles , bottom left) take the short white track signposted ‘Lochenbreck Loch’ (i.e. the left one on the map) and park 100 yards on the right. The loch is through the swing gate and across two fields. Please close all gates behind you. Beware the overhead power cables. Post code for SatNav is DG7 2PY.

Directions to Loch Whinyeon:
From the West: take the Laurieston road from Gatehouse (yellow road on left below) and after 3 miles park on the grass opposite Laghead Farm (where the road crosses the burn on the map). Walk over the hill – 20 minutes. (W Parking: 54 deg 55’13 N, 4 deg 10’18 W)
From the East: From the A75, just W of Twynholm, take the Glengap road (single, passing places) then continue straight onto the forestry track, right fork past the Water Treatment building, and look for the short track marked ‘to the loch’. The parking is beside the dam at the loch’s east end.
